Jesse Speer

Senior Data Analyst

Jesse Speer is a Senior Data Analyst for the Neglected Tropical Disease Support Center (NTD-SC). In this role, Jesse uses data analysis to fulfill standard and ad hoc information requests and reports and provides technical input on the development of information systems.

Jesse Speer comes to NTD-SC from RTI International, where he has been responsible for routine reporting to USAID for Act | East and previously the ENVISION project.  Jesse has applied his SAS expertise to analyze data from NTD MERLA activities conducted in over 20 USAID-supported countries, in order to facilitate accurate reporting and data use by multiple stakeholders.  Jesse has also been deeply involved in the development of the NTD Information System (NIS).  Prior to supporting USAID-funded NTD MERLA, Jesse worked as a statistician for other projects at RTI International. Prior to RTI International, Jesse worked as a statistician for the contract research organization, Social and Scientific Systems, focusing on toxicology studies. Jesse has 5 years of experience in NTDs and over 6 years of experience in data analysis, coding, and statistics. Jesse received his Master of Statistics degree, with a concentration in Biostatistics, from North Carolina State University.
